Our training programs are designed for everyone from the complete beginner to the elite athlete, for all ages, body types and varying fitness levels and include:
The aim of CrossFit is to forge a broad, general and inclusive fitness. We use the ten recognised fitness domains; increased power, speed, strength, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, stamina, coordination, agility, balance and accuracy to formulate a customised fitness plan.
Crossfit is for the complete beginner to the elite athlete, for all ages, body types and varying fitness levels.
Every class is led by a qualified Coach and is limited to the number of members per coach to ensure each member receives sufficient attention, quality coaching and ensuring maximum possible safety.
Our CrossFit Adults program runs 7 days a week, Sat to Thurs morning and evening classes and Fri morning classes.
Every day has a new and different Workout of the Day (WOD) programmed by our expert coaches based on different functional movements that reflect the best aspects of weightlifting, gymnastics, running, rowing and more.

Our CrossFit Kids program emphasises good movement throughout childhood and adolescence in a fun environment.
Consistently good mechanics translates to physical literacy, enhanced sports performance, and fewer sports injuries for kids. Not only that, a vast body of research indicates that exercise is beneficial to cognitive function, which means that consistent adherence to the program can have a positive impact on children’s academic achievement.

IGNITE is a fitness program offering simple, easy to implement movements and conditioning pieces mixed in a variety of combinations and time durations. All movements in the classes are scaled to your personal needs by our expert coaches.
Workouts include bodyweight, dumbbells, kettlebells, sandbags, bands and more. We believe in functional movements which translate to activities outside of the gym, these functional movements make up the majority of our programming.
We mix these functional movements with rowing, biking, running and more.
Our IGNITE program runs 5 days a week, Sun to Thurs with morning and evening classes. Each class is programmed by our expert coaches and is different every day.
IGNITE is a perfect starting point or reintroduction to functional training yet intense and challenging for those who have been training for a long time. Each class is scaled to become more or less challenging dependent on your individual needs.

If you are looking for premium individual coaching to achieve your personal goals then personal training is perfect for you. Personal training can be taken as 1 on 1 sessions or small group classes.
Our world class coaches will individualize your training program and lifestyle habits to ensure you achieve your goals safely and effectively.

JUNE MEMBER OF THE MONTH - JEN CVETKOVIC 🙌
Jen is an absolute gem of a person, she is a mother of 3 seriously cool kids and she is an athlete who has yet to understand how much she is truly capable of!
As a regular in the morning classes, Jen religiously comes to class 5 days a week. She puts in the hard work and we have seen her get stronger across every single movement but the real cherry on the top is we have seen her confidence grow!! Over the squat cycle Jen went from a 55lbs FSQ 3RM to 85lbs, she has gone from a PVC OHS to 35lbs. She has now OFFICIALLY moved on from the training bar in every lift, that’s right Jen no more shiny silver bar for you!! All those goats days working on your mobility is paying off! 🙌
Your energy is contagious and we love having you as a member at the box. Don’t stop chit chatting to everyone, laughing and bringing the good vibes. You rock 💪🤩🙌 and the fact you have brought your daughter into the box to do PT so she can get that “badass” feeling when she walks out is truly testament to the energy, effort and hard work you put in!!
AND lastly… what perfect timing, Jen has just celebrated her first year at Sands 🥳 and her first year of doing CrossFit so it’s the perfect time to call her our ‘Member of the Month’!! Have an awesome summer holiday Jen, you deserve it, keep training and see you in September 😘

WHAT A WEEKEND for the Sands Athletes, Comp Squad and Community! 🏋️♀️ 💪
On Saturday Sands had 5 teams enter a competition at FlyHigh and WOW these guys did us proud….
JAY AND PAT - absolute legends. Jay was hitting goal after goal the week before the competition with his first TTB reps, 55kg squat snatch and DUs. The fist pump before each wod showed everyone that they were a team, a team that supported eachother, celebrated their own victories, pushed to their limit and had fun 🙌
SHADA AND HAYA - a mother daughter duo that is nothing short of inspirational. Their team name “she got it from her mama” is so true, Shada is an absolute power house and Haya is very quickly showing us what she is made of… in a few years we will have a CrossFit athlete on our hands 🙌
NICOLA AND DARIA - absolute die hard beasts that will be a force to be reckoned with over the next year! These two have gone from strength to strength over the last year and there is going to be no stopping them in comps going forward! Just wish they had got to the QFs and had been pushed to their limits in the squat snatch and C2B wod. They would have shined! 🙌
HOLLIE AND OLIVIA - these two are insane athletes and have been working hard not only the week before the comp but over the last few months! You guys did not give up! If they had had a running wod you would have kicked some serious butt. 🙌
AND lastly our coaches FIL AND DANE, what an insane team they make and a total inspiration to watch. Congrats on your podium finish. You lead by example and we are honoured to have you as our coaches at sands! 🙌

LUCA HERO WOD
We will be doing a HERO WOD this weekend for Luca Emmanuel who tragically passed away on the 5th June.
Mark and Fernanda have always been a big part of the box and we will always be there for them.
This weekend as a sign of respect, love and care we will be doing a workout in Luca’s honour. He was a super strong boy who fought right until the end so get ready to work hard.

MAY MEMBER OF THE MONTH - NADEEM RIFAI
Nadeem recently rejoined Sands and I don’t think he has missed a day since. This guy is all about hard work, consistency and rx+’ing quietly in the corner! Burpee box jumps with a 30inch box (landing on one leg because Coach Fil gave him an extra challenge), squat jumps with multiple 45lbs plates and all this while cycling to and from the box. Winding up the ramps in the car park for a warm up.
He’s a machine on the machines with a background in rowing he can easily push to hold a 2000cal pace, he actually semi-enjoys the assault bike and can beast it out on the running track too.
But the thing he is known for… his jump rope skills. As a complete newbie to CrossFit, day 1 was double unders we asked Nadeem if he knew how to do them and with a swing of his rope to the left and a swing to the right he effortlessly smashed out what looked like a million double unders in 10 seconds. Woa, he was an absolute NINJA on the rope!! So we threw out another challenge, a triple under. And… a triple under we got 🤩.
An extra special shout out because today is his birthday, HAPPY 30th BIRTHDAY Nadeem 🥳 🎉 and here’s to the next decade of fitness, family and new challenges! It’s awesome having you as part of the sands family.
